Q: Does
Ensign has support for end of day MetaStock data? I have lots of data for
my local market which is not available from the real-time data feed. I
know the software allows ASCII files to be imported but this is very
painful and tedious as a chore to be done everyday. I don't think IB
carries data for the Australian Stock Exchange. If not is there
any plans for providing support?
A: Ensign
Windows does not directly support MetaStock data files. Our
End of Day version and Interactive Brokers version allow you to get tons
of free data. Therefore, there is no need to import MetaStock data.
The Ensign IB or Ensign Internet versions
will refresh daily charts for all stocks worldwide, including the Australian
Stock Exchange. This refresh data is available even though the IB feed
does not have the Australian Stock Exchange. You just would not have
live data to update tick or intra-day charts. The daily chart can be
obtained by the refresh we have in place.
