IB: Foreign Stock Refresh |
Q: I can see all the charts except the day charts. For instance some symbols from stocks in Belgium, Holland and France:
These are some examples that doesn't show me the day charts. I can see 5, 15, and 60 minute charts.
A: I finished my testing and everything worked as it should. So let
me document my steps so you do can the same steps and see if you get the
same successful results.
I clicked menu Setup | Manager and enter the symbols on the list. I entered
them in the small edit box at the top of the list so that they would be in
uppercase when they add to the list. I used for the test your 3 symbols. I
closed the Setup | Manager form, and clicked the big Q button for a quote page.
I clicked the Other Stk button at the bottom of the quote page for the World
Stocks quote page and the 3 symbols were present with current values. Example:
AAB-AEB shows Last = 36.75
I clicked on the symbol rows and used the Times panel to open a Daily chart.
Chart was empty. I double clicked on the chart background for chart properties,
clicked on Data tab, and changed the refresh source from 1st Internet to IB
bullet. I closed the property form, right mouse clicked and selected
pop-up menu Refresh | 2 weeks. The chart refreshed and showed bars. I changed
the time frame to 60 minutes, right mouse clicked, selected Refresh | 1 week
and the chart received and showed bars. This test was
done for all 3 symbols, and all 6 charts got refresh data from IB.
