| IB: TWS version 877.5 and later |
![]()
Starting with TWS version 873.3 back in March, 2007, IB changed the way the bars were timestamped in their refresh. Ensign accounted for the change with a check box option on the Setup | Connection form to tell Ensign to adjust for the IB change. Then in September, 2007, starting with TWS 877.5, IB switched back to the old time stamp method. So with TWS 877.5 and later, the check box needs to be unchecked.
In TWS, click menu Help | About Trader Workstation to display the TWS Build number. In Ensign, set the Using TWS check box state on Setup | Connection as explained above. Erase chart bars that have an extra bar at 16:30, if any, and refresh the chart again to build the bars correctly.
The current Ensign version does not support older TWS versions. So the Using TWS check box has been removed, and the expectation is you will use a current version of the TWS software.
